The impressively rugged and dramatic Durmitor Mountain is the pride of Montenegro. You cannot help being astonished by its raw natural beauty, carved out by glaciers and underground streams. The deep canyons and the glittering glacial lakes are breathtaking. On this tour, you will visit the most beautiful of Durmitor 18 glacial lakes - the Black lake. Lose yourself in its serene beauty or go exploring with a kayak, the choice is yours. We will come on the famous River Tara with the second deepest river canyon in the World where you will enjoy visit to its architectural wonder – Bridge on Djurdjevica Tara.
The tour starts when you are picked up and driven in direction of Durmitor Mountain national park.
You will arrive at Zabljak, the municipality on the highest altitude in Balkans and important centre of Durmitor region. We will begin with a stroll to the Black lake, one of the most beautiful parts of Durmitor National Park. You will be able to enjoy its serene beauty by taking a walk along its path, or you can have a drink, take some photos or even do some kayaking.
After visiting the lake, we will continue to the famous River Tara canyon, the second deepest river canyon in the World and the deepest river canyon in Europe.
We will visit the monumental bridge on Djurdjevica Tara. Here you will hear historical facts and interesting stories about the bridge. You will have some leisure time for photos, snacks, coffee. If you are a thrill seeker and crave an adrenaline rush, you can even do the 1 km long zip line here.
On our way back to Zabljak you can have a traditional lunch made up of Montenegrin specialites.
