Following the trail of our ancestors you will have a chance to visit the 15th century abandoned fortresses, explore magnificent Lake Skadar by boat and enjoy the beautiful viewpoints and fishing villages. The natural beauty of the lake in its environment will amaze you as you do this time travelling tour that will eventually take us to old royal capital - Cetinje. This little town is the place where old Montenegrins preserved their tradition and religion. Throughout the tour, you will be surrounded by the magical beauty of Lake Skadar national park which adds to the medieval charm of these historical landmarks.

    The tour begins once you are picked up from your accommodation and driven towards the Lake Skadar.

  • 45 minutes: Zabljak Crnojevica – Visit to the famous fortress

    In the hidden woods, where the river Moraca meets Skadar Lake, the old King's road takes us to one of the oldest fortresses in Montenegro – Zabljak Crnojevica. This medieval fortified town is truly a hidden Montenegrin treasure as it once served as the capital of the Crnojevic dynasty. Situated atop a hill close to Lake Skadar town flourished in the 15th century when dynasty Crnojevic ruled the land, making it the centre of Ottoman resistance. This beautiful town offers travelers an insight into what the Montenegrin way of life used to be in medieval times. We will take a short walk up the hill to the old fortress, where the view on Lake Skadar and Moraca River will leave you breathless.

  • 1 hour: Boat ride on Lake Skadar / Sightseeing

    The boat ride will then take us to Rijeka Crnojevica passing through some of the most beautiful scenery of this enchanting National Park.

  • 45 minutes: Rijeka Crnojevica visit and free time

    At Rijeka Crnojevica we will take a short walk, enjoying the enigmatic landscape, visit the old bridge, hear about its importance until the mid 20th century and you can also have a coffee or a drink at one of the beautiful restaurants on its promenade.

  • 40 minutes: Ride to Pavlova Side viewpoint / Photo stop / Ride to Cetinje

    You will now be driven to Pavlova Side for a photo break at one of the most famous viewpoints at Lake Skadar and one of the most famous viewpoints in whole of Montenegro. This viewpoint is also listed in well-read travel and destinations magazines as one of the most spectacular views of the world.
    After the photo stop, we will continue our way towards Cetinje – old royal capital.

  • 1 hour: Cetinje – Walking tour and free time

    After arriving at Cetinje we will walk through the historical path of this cozy town. We will visit Cetinje Monastery, pass next to Cipuri church, new castle – Biljarda, King Nicola's castle – today museum, the Presidential Palace and take a walk on the main pedestrian street. Cetinje is a city museum, and it has a lot of interesting stories about the hard but proud life of the people in medieval Montenegro.

  • Drive back to your accommodation
